Recently, a food corporation, which sell its chocolate snacks all over the world, reached out regarding a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) over one of its product lines. The LCA was needed in order to assess and find possible circular solutions that could be implemented.

The LCA took 3 months and measured Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions of the entire lifecycle (upstream and downstream), involved external stakeholders, the implemented technologies and production activities. The analysis also highlighted the potential circular improvements, especially surrounding the adoption of compostable packaging, both from a financial and technical perspective.
